Some couples finish each other's sentences. Drishti and Monil finish each other's chaos.
They married in the heart of Mumbai, at the ITC Maratha — a city wedding with all the polish the setting promised and none of the stiffness. Her precision, his spontaneity; her control-freak humour, his easy calm. It shouldn't work as neatly as it does.
Monil's vow held the whole thing in a line: “Love is not finding the right person — it's becoming the right person.” Drishti's answer was pure her: “Your spontaneity to my control-freak humour drew me in, but it's the honesty and the effort that made me stay.” And then, because she couldn't resist — “P.S. You better cry when you see me enter.”
We filmed a wedding that felt exactly like them — sharp, tender, funny, sure. Mumbai gave them the grandeur; they brought everything else.
